redonkulous3

adjective; blending blending of "ridiculous" and "donkey"
looking silly and ludicrous; not normal looking

Derived from the words "ridiculous" and "donkey." The two words were blended together into a single word that incorporates both of these two adjectives at one time. "Ridiculous" in this sense means its usual ludicrous and silly. The "donkey" portion further accentuates the silliness of the word. Donkeys are known as dumb creatures who look and act silly. In this way, the image of a donkey implicates a silly feeling. With a combination of two words that go to mean the same thing, there is a further accentuation on the adjective of silly in the word "redonkulous." "Redonkulous" is usually used to describe a person who looks or acts in a silly manner. This word was coined because it is a fun and creative way of expressing the silly adjective.
Etymology : blending of the words "ridiculous" and "donkey"
Source : "Hahaha did you see what he was wearing? He looked so...redonkulous..with those high knee socks and shorts!" (conversation).
