Chairobics

Aerobic exercise perfomed while seated in a chair
 
This term refers to a low impact type of aerobic exercise. Normally this is used for rehabilitation. Other people doing chairobics are almost always elderly. This term is analogous to ‘aerobics.’
Etymology : Chair from Old French chaiere + Aerobics from aero- + Greek bios ‘life’ + -ic.
