blabbing

verb; sound symbolism
Talking uselessly, speaking without anyone caring. [from sound symbolism b used in repetition with sound symbolism bl to form blabbing.] The annoyance and utter lack of caring is expressed about the person who is blabbing. The sound syllogism makes it painfully clear how little the person using the word cares about the object of the word.

You’re sitting in the most uncomfortable chair with the professor blabbing on and on and you’re using your books as a pillow.
Etymology : An example of sound symbolism, the repeated b sound expresses how the speech described is meaningless. The initial bl is sound symbolism for the act of talking. Blah is an example of the sound used to resemble some form of speech.
