Beirut

noun;
a game involving cups, a ball, and drinking. Players take turns throwing a ball into the cups across a playing surface, and the opponent must drink what is in the cups in which the ball lands. Name of a new game. The city of Beirut is the only word that could be related, but there is no history of this game there, they are completely independent of one another. Despite no clear reference or history of this word, it is quite common and easily recognized among college students in America.
 
Beer pong is played with paddles, a ball, and two cups on either side, as opposed to Beirut, which involves many more cups and no paddles.
Etymology : This is a novel creation.
