Something shoddily made or not sturdy by construction
 
Can be referred to many different things. For example if you had to create from scratch a table and it looked terrible, you would say it was janky looking. It can also refer to something like a paper that was thrown together at the last minute. Your paper could be janky if it was just thrown together and didn’t really fit or make much sense.

Source : August 2011. Friend from Georgia said “My apartment is really janky. It’s one bedroom, smells bad, and looks like it is going to fall down any minute.”
