youthspert

noun; blending
An expert on young people, one who focuses on the habits and viewpoints of modern youth. The word youthspert is interesting because it plays on the interesting phonology of the letter x. In the mind’s ear, the word expert is thought of as ekspert. When coining the word youthspert, the speaker divided the word expert based on sound, not on spelling. Otherwise he would have used youthpert or youthxpert, which both are awkward to pronounce. Reason used: humorous effect, and to create a specific word for an expert on young people.

We hired a youthspert to help us understand the only people who are apparently buying things.
Etymology : Blend of youth and expert. Youth from Middle English youthe, from Old English geoguth. Expert from Middle English, from Old French, from Latin expertus, past pariciple of experiri 'to try'
