A recollection or mental impression of someone or something from your past; used only in informal speech or writing.

Etymology : Clipping of memories ‘recollection (of someone or something)’, from Anglo-French memorie (Old French memoire ‘mind, memory, remembrance’), from Latin memoria ‘memory, remembrance, faculty of remembering’, from memor ‘mindful, remembering’, from PIE root *(s)mer- ‘to remember’.
