Pachydermous

derivation; adjective
of or related to elephants, rhinoceroses, or other animals of the like (large, mammals, tough)
 
The pachydermous noise of the marching battalion disturbed the family.
Etymology : Pachyderm is a noun referring to large mammals such as elephants and rhinoceroses. With no adjective form of the word, the adjective-forming suffix -ous is added to create an adjective. More specifically, the term is often used to describe noises, although it is not limited to this use.
