fangirling

blending; verb
To be an immense supporter of a certain entity, such as a band, TV show, etc. A fangirl is someone who, usually being a girl, has such an intense longing for something to the point of obsession. This intense passion for something may seem to border on the unnecessary, and "fangirling" is the action of being unnecessarily attached to an entity.

"Kim is so totally fangirling over Of Mice and Men right now. You should have seen her at the concert last Thursday, she was crying so much because Austin Carlile winked at her. I'm beginning to think that she has a problem."
Etymology : Comes from the addition of the suffix "ing" to the word "fangirl". Fangirl comes from the blending of the word "fan", a Modern English word meaning "devotee", and the word girl, meaning someone of female gender. The verb fangirling is the action of being a fangirl, or obsessing over something in an excessive manner.
