The act of working on something long before it is necessary.
 
Blend of “pre-,” meaning before, with “procrastination,” of which it is the complete opposite.
Etymology : “pre-” is the prefix meaning “before.” “Procrastination” is a loanword from Middle French, with “pro-” meaning “forward,” and “crastinus” meaning “belonging to tomorrow.”
