- Zippy originally is an adjective, meaning quick and energetic. This word shows up in this case: when a police office finished searching a car, another police office came by and would do the search again. The previous officer said proudly that he had done it and you would never find anything. But after a short time, the later officer find a small pack of meth behind the radio on the car. Then the later officer said to the previous officer “Hello, zippy?”. It’s actually making fun of other people using this word suggesting no matter how smart one think one is, one still end up with some mistake since one is perhaps too quick and overly energetic, which is too zippy, on solving the issue.
