- Disinvent is created by affix the prefix dis- “no, not” before the word invent “create originally”, meaning not invent. This word is quite difficult to put into an everyday scenario. It was created in a subjunctive mood describing some deadly weapon that human should hope they didn’t invent it. Using of disinvent is very concise comparing with “didn’t invent”, and that conciseness also stresses out the deep regret of inventing such a thing. Although its usage is quite limited, disinvent is still a good strong word to use.
