fat buff

adjective; compounding
To be abnormally strong, with major definition in the muscles of your body; but instead of having a six pack abdominal region, you have more weight located in that region. People of this nature are generally looked to for being the strongest body type. The opposite of lean buff. Also see Bane from The Dark Knight Rises.
 
"What are you doing? You'll never be able to get fat buff from doing the rowing machine. Let's do some curls and calf raises."
Etymology : The first part of the word, "fat", comes from Proto-Germanic faitaz "fat,obese". The second part, "buff", comes from Modern English "well-built, hunky". The compounding of these words has come to mean a very strong person who has not sacrificed mass for muscle.
