Belidge

adjective; clipping
When someone is very drunk. Usually used to mean that someone is becoming violent, but it can mean just really drunk.

Jeff was being really belidge at the party last night!
Etymology : From belligerent- from Latin belligerantem- to wage war. (etymonline) This is an example of a clipping of the word belligerent. It has also undergone narrowing to now only refer to people who are drunk. Belligerent drunk and just belligerent were very common ways to describe people who became violent when drunk. Bellidge has undergone melioration to go from meaning very drunk and violent to just very drunk.
