random ideas, videos, pictures, or actions meant to create humor or entertainment that spreads in a society through the internet as a form that is imitated. From the word “meme” (1976) introduced by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins in "The Selfish Gene," coined by him from Greek sources, e.g. mimeisthai "to imitate" (metaphor to mime), and intended to echo gene. The word was widened to apply to pictures and videos that were imitated.
