interjection; clipping hallelujah
1) expression of worship or rejoicing. 2) extreme gratitude or feeling of joy similar to “praise the lord”. clipping of the word hallelujah that means the exact same thing.
 
“They cancelled the calculus test and I was just like ‘hallelu!”
Etymology : clipping of the word hallelujah; 1530s, from Hebrew hallalu-yah "praise ye Jehovah," from hallalu, plural imperative of hallel "to praise" also "song of praise," from hillel "he praised," of imitative origin; Second element is yah, name of God.
