killer bee

verb; zero derivation
to be beaten by the Houston Astros, whose team includes many players with "B" names. It was the best description of what happened to both the Braves and the Cardinals, the Braves having lost when Chris Burke hit a home run in the 18th inning, and the Cardinals having lost in a game where Brad Ausmus had three hits. The "Killer Bees" have been the pride of the Astros for a long time and my brother felt a need to describe their win as such.

The Sox better watch out because they are going to get killer bee’d just like the Braves and the Cards!
