- "Why did I zot my leftovers from last night?"
zot
verb; sound symbolism
To expose to radiation, as with a laser or microwave oven. A cartoonish onomatopoeic representation of the perceived sound a laser makes when striking an object, similar to the work 'zap.'
Etymology : It appears to be a completely novel creation, used by the author as an attempt at recreating the sound one would imagine a laser might make (in reality, lasers are silent).
