To writhe about, noticeably similar in form to "squirming" and "worming". Possibly also means "forming".
Etymology : A zero-derivation from the regional word "orming" meaning tall and ungainly, which itself is a regional pronunciation of the word "hawm", to move about awkwardly. It seems to have been extended by metaphor, as a tall object moving about in an awkward fashion might indeed be described as squirming about.
