lemonhead

noun; analogy
a racial slur for Asians The slur lemonhead presumably draws attention to the fact that Asians have yellow skin color. Slurs are one area of language that is always expanding; newer slurs crop up all the time. It is a display of creativity in contempt, where your unique slur can earn approval from other members of the hate group. Here, lemonhead draws a comparison between a yellow lemon and a yellow-skinned Asian. Then, the word is compounded with head, so instead of calling an Asian a lemon, it is a lemonhead. This is interesting as I think lemon, already a noun, would suffice, but instead the user opted for lemonhead. It is not the first slur I have heard that describes Asians as yellow.

Go home lemonheads was scrawled on an Asian-American's front door.
Etymology : 'lemonhead,' analogy.
