slelfie

blending; noun
A selfie that includes a person who is sleeping. Can also refer to a selfie someone took while pretending to be asleep with the intention of implying that a significant other took the picture of them.

"Slelfie" originally referred to a selfie taken by a person who pretended to be asleep in the photo and then added a caption implying that their partner or significant other "caught them sleeping" and took the photo. The photo was thus referred to by others in a joking or teasing manner as a "slelfie" (although not by the original poster of the photo, unless they confessed to taking the photo themselves). The modern definition of "slelfie" refers to a normal selfie taken that includes another sleeping person in it. Takings slelfies was a trend that has since died out, and therefore it is rare to hear the word used anymore. If the word is used, it is now more likely referring to its original meaning.
Etymology : Blend of the words "sleeping" and "selfie".
