To say something directly to another person. Generally aggressive and confrontational in nature. Often pertains to some complaint one might have about someone else. Commonly used on social media, particularly Twitter.
 
Why don't you @ me next time you have something to say instead of being vague and passive aggressive about it?
Etymology : originated from the "@" function on Twitter, which sends a notification to the designated account to make sure they see a particular tweet and ensured direct communication
