grossilicious

adjective; blending and clipping
something that is disgusting and enjoyable It is a rather strange combination because the words are antonyms. There are very few things that can be described as gross AND delicious (meaning enjoyable). My sister's grossilicious habit is to pick at scabs (hers and others if they let her). I think it is disgusting, but she finds enjoys doing it. Keep in mind that the term delicious can be used to describe anything that is enjoyable, not only food. The term grossilicious might have been coined because it became acceptable to add 'licious' to words (i.e. bootylicious). After Destiny's Child used 'bootylicious', new words emerged into the English language with the ending 'licious.' My sister says she heard the term grossilicious at school. A girl experienced her first kiss. The guy was not cute, but the kiss was great. One of her friends called it grossilicious; it was disgusting to kiss him yet the kiss was good. The term is not confined to a certain community. However, it is a difficult term to use in everyday conversations due to is strange etymology.

Quit picking at the scab! It's a gross habit! No, it is a grossilicious habit!
Etymology : 'gross' + 'i' (linker) + '(de)licious'
