fear-icle

noun; compounding
A “miracle”, or something billed as one, inspiring fear

Created as part of a pun on Miracle on 34th Street by the Onion for an editorial cartoon. In usual satirical style, brings attention to the contradiction between the “Christmas spirit” and the realities of Black Friday via gross exaggeration. Not a rhyming compound in the usual sense, but formed because fear and miracle start with the same vowel.
Etymology : From fear, miracle
