“Lit” is an adjective and a metaphor. It is used to describe a party or event that is enjoyable and well-attended. “Lit” is often used to urge friends to attend a party, or in reference to a past party.
Etymology : A metaphor of the adjective “lit” meaning “on fire” or simply “on” when referring to a light source.
