RNR

verb; acronym
To read someone’s message and actively choose not to respond. Oftentimes, includes some subtle indication that you read but did not reply.

This acronym formed due to the emergence of texting etiquette, combined with technologies such as read receipts. The acronym serves as an easier way to describe the act of reading and not replying; RNRing is most prevalent in mediums such as iMessage, Facebook Messenger, and Snapchat.
Etymology : Combines the root words “read” and “reply”, so identical to those etymologies.
