Redass

noun; blending
1. Someone who is extremely involved with the traditions of Texas A&M University. 2. Someone who is described as “redneck”.

This noun is part of the vernacular for Aggies, used to describe someone who is very involved. There is an implicit correlation of such a student also being a “redneck”, hence the result of both definitions arising. The two components of the words are combined similarly to words like “smartass”, “dumbass”, etc. but the use of the word “red” can allude to both the nature of being “redneck” or a simplification of the colors of Texas A&M, maroon (a darker red).
Etymology : similar to etymologies for “red” and “ass”.
