Panethnicity

noun; derivation Affixation
Process of grouping people together based on cultural characteristics. It is usually based on geographical, linguistic or racial.
 
“Each of these potential groupings shares internal commonalities that can foster panethnicity, and has been marginalized, racialized and demonized, especially after 9/11.”
Etymology : Affixation of prefix “pan-“ to “ethnicity” to form “panethnicity”
