baet

noun; verb; blending
Describing a situation in which someone tricked their significant other into doing some minor task for them or the object used to trick in such a situation. Can also describe the act of carrying out such a situation on someone else.

Because “bae” is used in the word, it implies a kind of joking and casual context, like tricking your significant other into cleaning up a small mess by thinking it was his fault. This is opposite to anything major or awful, like tricking a significant other into cheating to see if they’re loyal would end up in the the subject not wanting to be the bae anymore and at that point it would just be baiting instead of baeting.
Etymology : bae ‘significant other’ blended with bait ‘object used to lure something or someone’
