analogize

verb; derivation
to create an analogy, come up with a similar process to more easily explain an idea

BIOC 201 discussions require students to fill out a form ahead of time relating to a topic that will be discussed in small groups and one text box on the form asks the student to come up with an analogy of how the concept being discussed works, so analogizing implies coming up with an analogy that uses simpler or more relatable processes in order to make it easier to explain to someone else.
Etymology : analogy + -ize ‘V, to make’
