sus(2)

adjective; clipping clipping of “suspicious” and “suspect”
scandalous, dubious, of disreputable or “shady” character

The word conveys similar meaning to the words that it stems from, but it is shortened in order to become more informal and general. By shortening it, it no longer carries the same weight as the original words and can be used to refer to someone who isn’t necessarily malicious, but still are in some ways disreputable.
Etymology : Clipping of the word “suspicious” and “suspect” to form a one-syllable adjective
