- Originated from saying ‘you know what I’m saying’ really fast and then slowly cutting off ‘you’ and ‘I’m’ until namsayn is left. Probably a nonce word. Used when someone is trying to be cool, sly, or fast talking. Is kind of like an extreme conjunction or clipping like y’all, ‘sup, or g’night. "I'ma help you be cool. Namsayn?”
