fosho

adverb; compounding
for sure, without doubt

this is a creative respelling of the common phrasal adverb “for sure” to create one word. It takes the first sound of each word, “f” and “sh”, and modifies the pronunciation of the rest of the word so that it has a rhyming “o” vowel sound. This follows the tendency of slang to rhyme seen in Cockney rhyming slang.
Etymology : compounding of clipped “fo” from “for” + clipped and modified “sho” from “sure”
