Making of the word cute by speaking in baby talk, which is “…the speech of an adult or older child imitating [the speech of a young child], typically used when speaking to young children or pets…” (“baby talk”). Coming from words like “fluffer” or “fluffy,” “floofer” is a creative respelling that has its roots in the words fluffer, which in this instance means something, most often an animal, that is extraordinarily fluffy or fuzzy.
Etymology : This word is formed through creative respelling of the word “fluffer” by replacing “uf” with “oo.”
