- Your bed is a mattress on cinderblocks, but mine is ghettoer because it is just a mattress on the floor.
ghettoer
adjective; derivation
More like things found in the ghetto. Ghetto is a commonly-used slang adjective which describes things that one would be able to find in a ghetto. This includes, for example, junky cars or inner-city style clothing. This adjective is clearly zero derived from the noun ghetto. In this new formation, its status as an adjective is extended to including the privilege most adjectives enjoy of having a comparative degree. Probable reason used: Speaker wanted to express the unique meaning of the slang adjective ghetto in a comparative manner.
Etymology : Italian ghetto + er (comparative degree)
