Kden

interjection; compounding clipping and derivation
Kden is an exclamation most often used on text or social media to acknowledge that a message has been seen.

Me: “I’ll be there tonight around 10” Friend: “kden”
Etymology : Kden comes from combining the words “okay” and “then.” Both these words are first clipped into the “K” and “then” respectively. Then, the word “then” undergoes derivation and changes to the spelling “den.” The result is the exclamation kden. Because “ok”, “okay”, and “okay then” are all sufficient and short ways of acknowledging that a message has been received, it is possible that the term kden arose for its humorous value rather than its convenience.
