Himbo

blending; noun
A very attractive and well muscled, though not usually particularly intelligent man.

This is a word that I see used primarily on the internet. It has a similar meaning to ‘hunk’ but carries a different set of connotations. A himbo is typically kind and helpful even if they tend to be clueless, so the word has positive connotations. This word was likely coined to describe a character/personality archetype that there previously was not a compact word for. Additionally, himbo is a very pleasing blend to say/read.
Etymology : Himbo is a blend of the words Him and Bimbo. Him is originally the dative masculine and neuter of ‘he’. Bimbo has somewhat uncertain etymological roots, and it may have been the result of the convergence of several different words with similar forms. There was an alcoholic drink by the name from the 1840s to nearly 1900, and it was a proper name from 1860 to 1910. I’s modern meaning of ‘floozie’ settled in in the 1920s.
