King (2)

adjective; zero derivation
A male who has demonstrated some amount of good qualities.

The word was broadened from “king” as “monarch” and now means any male who acts like a “king.” However, most often this word is used almost sarcastically. While the person who is being described as a “king” may have done something good, the user is knowingly blowing the situation out of proportion. For example, a man throwing away a piece of stray litter may constitute him being called a “king.” This usage may actually provide gender commentary on the standards men are held to.
