Texican
adjective; blending
Mexican food with a Texan twist, another word for Texmex The restaurant (which was called The Republic of Texas) used this word to describe a specific type of food that was probably at some point Mexican, but had been Americanized and spiced up Texas style. I had seen and heard the word Tex-Mex used before, but Texican was a new twist on this idea.
