- If one has a particularly stylish or fashionable element of their appearance, that element can be described as “fleeky” or “on fleek.” This is like the phrase “on point” in distinguishing something as particularly fashionable.
Fleeky/On Fleek
adjective; other word formation type novel creation
Stylish or fashionable to a high degree
Etymology : The term “fleek” itself does not have any substantial evidence showing that it is derived from any word, making it a novel creation. It is possibly derived from “sleek,” however, the terms are both used in very different ways, so this is unlikely. It is interesting to note that the term “fleek” itself is not defined as its own word but must appear as “fleeky” or “on fleek” to have a meaning associated. Thus, these two words are fully synonymous and appear to be a result of the novel creation of the word “fleek.”
