Respect/Respecc

interjection Zero Derivation/Creative respelling
“I have respect for that,” “that is impressive.”

This new usage of ‘respect’ can be used simply as a response to indicate that the speaker respects something about how or what they just encountered/were exposed to. It is essentially a shortening of an entire phrase which suggests you have respect for something to just the word respect and indicates the same information.
Etymology : From Old French “respect” meaning regard. The respelling ‘respecc’ is in response to similar respellings of words with a penultimate ‘c’, such as ‘thicc’, ‘attacc’, and ‘protecc.’
