hater-ade

noun; blending
for a state of being a hater, usually used to get someone to stop hating My friend was slightly upset that we were teasing her about her boyfriend, and so she told us to stop “sippin’ hater-ade” to get us to stop making fun of him. A hater is a person who speaks negatively of another simply to bring them down or because of jealousy. The word hater-ade is usually used by a person who is surrounded by “haters,” but who is not a hater himself. The non-hater uses this word to suggest that to be a hater is something that can be started and stopped, like taking a drink. Since the word hater sounds like gator in Gatorade, it was easy to blend the two together into something catchy.

Don’t be sippin’ no hater-ade.
