Fye

adjective clipping
something that is considered cool or very awesome. “Fye” can describe a person who does something spectacular, it can describe an article of clothing, or it can describe an individual.
 
This term is used among urban culture on the eastern part of the United States. It is used mostly among African Americans but is not limited to use among African Americans. “Fye” is not a new term and has been around for several years, maybe even decades. A phrase that includes “fye” could be “you’re shirt fye”. In this sentence, a shirt that is “fye” is a very nice and uncommon shirt. In summary, “fye” is used to compliment something.
Etymology : “Fye” may be a clipping from the word “fire”. The word “fire” figuratively can mean to excite or ignite. “Fye” is usually a word said with some form of excitement. There may have been a need for a word that can describe something exciting so “fye” was coined.
