To express affirmation or agreement.
 
Used to replace alright for confirmation and agreement. Often used when someone want to be funny and wants to reference the “Ight Imma head out” meme. The word can come in phrases such as in “Ight lets go” or just “Ight...” The word gained popularity from this meme which started around summer of 2019 via Twitter which uses an image of the March 8th, 2001 SpongeBob SquarePants episode “The Smoking Peanut.”
Etymology : Clipping of the term “alright.”
