Reach

other word formation type Verb
‘Reach’ is Toronto slang for ‘come over’. The term probably came from the visual imagery of asking someone to come over as physically reaching out to them to come over, or them needing to physically reach your destination. In addition, saying ‘I’ll reach’ somewhere means that you are going to that place.

“I’m about to watch Game of Thrones, reach.”
Etymology : Reach is a particularly popular slang term in Toronto and has been since around 2014. The origin of ‘reach’ is unclear, but entries for it can be found on Urban Dictionary from as early as 2003. As with many slang words in Toronto (such as saying ‘ting’ instead of ‘thing) it may have originated in the Toronto Jamaican community. Popular social media accounts centered on Toronto, such as the Instagram account “6ixbuzz”, have been instrumental in the spreading of certain slang terms like ‘reach’ across the city.
