1. Change directory in a computer system. 2. Physically relocate.
 
cd(change directory) is a command-line shell command used to change the current working directory in various operating systems. It is one of the most used system commands and is known by most of the students of Computer Science major. My CompSci friends and I decided to extend its original meaning to express a person physically relocating to somewhere else.
Etymology : Change Directory, Initialism.
