bcv

acronym Noun
Used to refer to the time of events that occurred in years before the spread of COVID-19.

“Bcv” started to appear a little more than half a year into the COVID-19 pandemic. It was originally used jokingly, as comparing the historical significance of pandemic to the believed resurrection of Christ seemed ridiculous. Despite this, the term has become fairly popular and is often invoked in a more serious manner.
Etymology : Acronym for the phrase “before coronavirus”. Analogous to “bce” (before common era).
Source : “The last time I was in a serious relationship with someone was in three to four bcv.” (Friend, 10/19/20).
