- Used to describe a person who will likely soon come out as transgender. Mostly used in joking contexts. Can be used to reference a past self, but might be considered nonsensical to refer to oneself as currently being an egg since not knowing that you are transgender is a condition of being an egg. The egg metaphor may be in reference to some metamorphosis or the idea that that person’s “true self” is not yet born.
