A term describing the science fictions that put more emphasis on other aspects than hardcore stem (for example, science fictions that emphasize psychology, sociology, linguistics or politics).
Etymology : The etymology of this word is not very clear. This word might be formed from the term soft as in soft science, which is an analogy to hard science. Hard science is a metaphoric term for STEM related science.
