A sudden downpour of ice from a beverage cup. This word is meant to refer to the unique situation when one is drinking a fast food beverage, and the ice suddenly rushes out of the cup and hits the drinker in the face. Thus it is an avalanche of ice which originates from a beverage.
 
You get smacked with a bevelanche.
Etymology : blend of beve(rage) and (ava)lanche
